We are seeking a Contract Specialist to play a key role in delivering commercial excellence across our operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to build strong stakeholder relationships, drive value through effective contract management, and contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives.



About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Contracts Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle - from tendering and negotiation through to execution and ongoing performance management.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure strong commercial outcomes, mitigate risk and secure cost value while maintaining process and ethical standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Effective end-to-end tendering, negotiation, and award of goods and services contracts
  • Manage supplier relationships and contract performance to deliver value outcomes
  • Support planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation, records, and compliance registers
  • Administer active contracts to ensure obligations and deliverables are met
  • Identify and engage new suppliers to support future sourcing strategies
  • Prepare contractual correspondence and regular reporting
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders



About You

You are a commercially minded professional with strong negotiation capability and the ability to influence outcomes in a dynamic environment.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in contract negotiation, formation, and management
  • Strong understanding of contract frameworks.
  • Experience managing supplier and contractor relationships
  • Ability to identify risk and provide practical commercial solutions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems (Pronto experience advantageous)



Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Commerce, Business, Finance, or similar (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Significant experience in contract and tendering environments
  • National Police Clearance
  • Industry memberships (e.g., CIPS, AIM) highly regarded
